In the starting of live Blackjack, players have to place their bets on the circle of the table. After that, the dealer distributes cards to each and every of player (2 each) including herself/himself. The entire player’s cards face’s upward and any one of the dealer’s cards is kept with its face upward. And on the contrary the second card is upside down. This card is called the hole card. A chance that the dealer will have a blackjack is strong if the card with face up is a 10 or an Ace. And if so, every player will lose the round excluding those which have blackjacks. It is a general practice in US that the dealer with blackjack collects all the losing bets & passes it to others with a blackjack to enhance their bets amount.

The game is called as Twenty-one, this is because the highest number of the game is 21. On the other hand, if both the player & dealer get busted, the dealer is considered as the winner owing to the home advantage. In case of tie the bet is declared as a push.

If the dealer has a 10 or an ace card as the showing card, then dealer can allow the players to decide, that whether they want to insure that hand against the blackjack or not. This insurance decreases the odds 3 to 2 to 2 to 1.
